Card-Making

CARD-MAKING
INITIATIVE

Mission

By bringing together volunteers and students from our art classes, our Card-Making Initiative shows how creativity can mobilize communities in support of healthcare. The cards created by our volunteers are distributed to pediatric hospitals, where they serve as small reminders of encouragement, creativity, and community for children facing medical challenges.

Each Year,
5.3 million pediatric hospitalizations occur

Hospitalization increased children's odds of developing a new mental health disorder by 12.3%, with the risk rising to 63% for children admitted to the ICU.

Our Impact

So far, we've received 1000+ cards designed by

volunteers from 50+ countries and over 300 students from our lessons! The ArtsNest Card-Making Initiative has grown into a global community united by creativity and compassion. Every card represents a unique message of encouragement, helping bring moments of joy to children during hospital stays.

“As someone who knows what its like to struggle, being part of this initiative means a lot. I am a high school junior and college freshman. I plan to major in digital design, so I leapt at the opportunity to use my learned skills to make other people smile."

Our Impact

We empower youth to lead art fundraisers that bring communities together in support of healthcare. From planning events to creating artwork and engaging local supporters, young volunteers take an active role in every step of the process. These fundraisers provide meaningful opportunities for students to develop leadership skills while raising funds for essential medical supplies.

Request Medical Supplies

If your hospital, clinic, nonprofit organization, or medical outreach program is in need of essential medical supplies, we would love to hear from you.

Mission

We lead youth volunteers to host arts and crafts activities at children's hospitals, bringing moments of joy to children during their hospital stays. Our Impact

At ArtsNest, we believe creativity can be a powerful source of connection, expression, and encouragement, especially during challenging moments. Through our Hospital Arts & Crafts Initiative, we bring interactive art experiences directly to pediatric patients, providing opportunities for children to explore their creativity and engage with art in a supportive environment.

We teach recurring lessons at the CHoNC pediatric subacute, creating artistic opportunities and sensory experiences for pediatric patients.
